It’s all about Balance

Hey everyone! Today was a super crazy day at work, and it was definitely hard to keep with my goal to eat healthier and exercise daily. Even though today was crazy, I was able to maintain balance in my day.

Today at work “B”, “D”, and Baby P were super energetic and crazy. I cleaned up an insane amount of milk off the floor and was spit up on a few times! While at work instead of eating healthy I ended up eating 2 pop tarts with butter on them. Once I got home things did not really improve in the sense with my eating habits. I ate Chick-fil-a French fries and drank a coke. After all that I did not want to do my daily workout, but I forced myself to do it. I am super glad I did too! After I got the workout done I was able to relax and watch my favorite show.

Even though I did not eat as healthy as I would have liked, I did work out. It really is all about balance. I really wanted to just lie around and eat junk food, and even though I did do that I also did my daily workout video and was able to make up for some of the calories I ate! Goals for 2018

Hey everyone! This year has gone by fast, and 2018 will be here soon. With the year ending it is that time again to see how you did on completing your goals from this past year and to set up new goals for the coming year.

This past year I only had two goals. One was to take more risks throughout the year. The second was to read 12 books. I completed the taking more risks goal, and was able to get out of my comfort zone by socializing more! This past year I started dating again for the first time since ending my engagement, and it definitely was not as bad as I had convinced myself it would be. I am sure the fact that the guy is one of the nicest guys there is helped a lot too! As far as my goal to read 12 books, I am still working on that. I read 11 books, so far, and am hoping to finish that last one tomorrow.

I already know what my goals are for next year, and I am excited to complete those! My goals for next year are;

  1. To read 12 books, and also under that complete my 2018 reading challenge!
  2. To run 2 5k’s
  3. To eat healthier for at least 1 meal a day
  4. To grow my lipsense business
  5. Save at least $150 per month
  6. To pay off any debt that I have
  7. Complete an item off my bucket list each month
  8. To pass my school classes

I do have quite a bit of goals this year, but I do plan on achieving them all! What are some of your goals for the New Year? Let me know in the comments below!


30 Day Kindness Challenge

This past Monday I started the 30 day kindness challenge. In this challenge you choose someone that you will make the focus of those 30 days. Once you pick someone you make a point not to say anything negative about this person, to find something positive that you can praise them on, and to do one act of kindness for this person throughout the month.

I personally have gotten off to a slow start, and have not done great on the second and third parts of the challenge. I have been less negative about the person I chose, and have seen an improvement in our relationship. I really enjoy spending time with this person and I look forward to it. I am even seeing this person in a more positive light. Throughout the week I have noticed that it is easier to not jump to negative things about this person.

After doing this challenge for a week I noticed that there was one other person who came to mind. I refer to him as Mchotjerk, and have decided to aim this challenge toward him. Let me quickly mention that the name Mchotjerk stems from an inside joke with a friend!  The first thing I am making an effort to stop calling him Mchotjerk. I am looking forward to seeing how my opinions of this person will change.

The 30 day kindness challenge is really a great thing to do. I believe it came out at a great time, a time when everyone should be showing each other a little more kindness. New Years Goals

It’s a new year, and I hope you all had a fantastic time ringing in 2016! I spent the day with friends and family. I even had time to reflect on my last year. It was a little hard at times,and I had to message my best friend to talk me through it. I had been looking at pictures and came across some of my ex fiance and me. Many of you know I was engaged, and that the engagement ended a few months ago. As I was looking at these pictures I became upset, because I was supposed to get married this March to a guy I loved so much. Even though there were those hard moments, there were also great moments! I found pictures from when I first started dating my ex, my trip to California, and even my trip to Payson with my mom. Even though not everything is going to go the way I wanted/planned, I am prepared to make this one of my best years so far.

Today when I was at my friend’s house I set goals I want to accomplish during the year. My first goal is to go to the gym 5 days a week. I won’t share why, because it’s a pretty crazy reason, but it will definitely be a good change. To do this I have my friend texting me everyday, just to hold me accountable. My second goal is to blog post once a week! I am already off to a good start on this goal. 🙂 At the end of the year I want to be able to look back and see all that has happened. My third goal is to read the scriptures everyday. I originally thought of this goal, because at the singles ward I was challenged to read Matthew through John before the end of the year, this was back in November. I started out pretty good and read 5 chapters a day! Towards the end of it I began to slack off and did not end up finishing it. I have a lot more time this year, and do plan on finishing the Bible. My fourth and final goal is to cook at home twice a week. I am notorious for going and buying fast food on my night to cook. I will admit that I’ll still probably do that, but I will definitely cook at home those two nights a week too.
